Purified Air is a leading UK filtration company, specialising in the filtration of commercial kitchen extracts, and general air filtration of recirculating air within buildings.
We are looking for a competent person to work in our technical department with experience in electrical/mechanical engineering preferred. You will be expected to work well with others in the team established, and can be flexible to be able to switch between hands on technical practical work, and computer based working.
The ideal applicant will be willing to get involved in a diverse role, some aspects of which are quite technical, and other aspects more practical in the way of electrical tests and air flow testing as examples.
We are looking for a candidate who can learn quickly and would have an interest in the work undertaken in this department. A willing applicant who may not have the necessary qualifications, but has some experience in this field with a passion to learn more and who can not only look at the technical aspects of the research side, but is also not adverse to getting practical and less technical elements of the work done.
There will be lots of on the job training and guidance, as the work we do as a company is quite niche and not a field where many people have a great deal of experience. If we get a willing candidate with a basic understanding of some of the more technical side, we can provide training for anything else that is required of them upon taking on this role. Below is a list of some qualifications & skills that would be quite useful, although they shouldn't prohibit anyone without any formal qualifications from applying.
Gaining a detailed understanding of kitchen extract systems and indoor air quality control systems and the technologies that are used.
Developing practical skills in engineering design and development of these systems.
Organising and performing the testing of new products.
Writing of technical reports, product user manuals, and instruction manuals.
Providing technical advice to other workers in the company, clients and customers.
Taking an active role in engineering process improvement, ensuring the communication of best practice across to the engineering team.
Developing and applying your academic skills to solve problems, generate ideas and be proactive within the team.
